Alaska means "The great land." This is a part of the Pacific Region. The states that in the pacific region is California, Oregon, Hawaii, Washington and Alaska. This is Alaska state flag! It is a Big Dipper. The capital of Alaska is Juneau.
Location
Alaska is near Russia and Yukon territory. Northwest of Oregon and Washington. Also Vancouver can be located south east of Alaska. The state is located 57 degrees west and 155 north. The capital is located 57 degrees west 133 north.
Great Places!
Some great places are Mt. Mckinley! It is 6194m (20,320 feet)! There are two ranges in Alaska. Alaska range, Brooks range. There is Seward peninsula. Which is located nearest to Russia. Russia is to the west of Alaska.

Alaska has amazing views of the landscape and animals. Alaska has over 3 million lakes. Alaska is the largest land but forth the population. The industries of Alaska is fishing, oil and tourism. The nickname is "The last Frontier." Also there motto is "North To The Future." Alaska had number three out of ten best earthquakes.

There is the southwest, Interior, Far North, South Central, Inside Passage.
Movement
Most of alaskas movement is cars. You can fly to alaska! It is closest to washington but not next to it so you can't drive without going across the border.
